With the second season of Gli Acchiappagioagiochi also comes new distribution deals.

The space-themed preschool TV series, created by Studio Bozzetto (Italy) and Sphere Animation (Canada), in collaboration with RAI Kids and ICI Radio-Canada Télé, just these days was acquired by Ceska Televize, public service of the Czech Republic, RTÉ, Irish state TV, and CBeebies, a children’s TV channel owned by the BBC.

Ceska Televize acquired the free-to-air rights, RTÉ acquired the free-to-air and nonlinear rights while Cbeebies acquired all linear and streaming rights on iPlayer. The Game Catchers will, in addition, be dubbed with British actors before its scheduled launch this spring.

“These latest distribution deals are very important for us and for our licensing partners, says Pietro Pinetti, producer of the series and CEO of Studio Bozzetto. Just as the second season is in production these confirmations of airing on international public networks have arrived, which is a great sign to complete the worldwide licensing strategy and acquire new partners in anticipation of the launch of the second season scheduled for September 2024. I am happy that Italian creativity has been rewarded by a level TV channel like BBC.”

The first season of The Game Catchers – Gli Acchiappagiochi has already aired, in addition to Rai YoYo and ICI Radio-Canada Telè (commissionig broadcasters), on The Knowledge Network and Toon- a-Vision in Canada, YLE in Finland, Canal Panda in Spain and Portugal (KidsMe- DeAgostini), MediaCorp in Singapore, PCCW in Hong Kong, and has been acquired by Chinese distributor Wing Sight.
