As the Japanese national football team continues its journey toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the first two seasons of BLUE LOCK are now available on Netflix: 38 episodes in total, all dubbed in Italian, further expanding the international reach of the successful football manga and anime franchise.
A third season is currently in production, while a live-action film is also planned for 2026. Netflix’s release marks another step in BLUE LOCK’s global growth, bringing the series to an even wider audience.
Written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, BLUE LOCK is one of the most successful sports manga of recent years, with over 40 million copies in circulation worldwide. Through its mix of action, rivalry and sports psychology, the series has built a strong fanbase, particularly among the 14-30 demographic.
In Italy, the brand continues to grow, supported by Planet Manga (Panini Comics), Crunchyroll and the development of licensing opportunities managed by Starbright Licensing, with projects across apparel, accessories and collectibles, including a capsule collection with OVS Group.
Netflix’s arrival further strengthens BLUE LOCK’s position as one of the leading sports anime franchises of the new generation.
