JWAnderson and Uniqlo add Peter Rabbit to a “fairy tale” collection
Jonathan Anderson, Irish designer owner of the eponymous brand JW Anderson, and creative director of the Spanish maison Loewe, has signed another capsule collection with the Japanese retailer Uniqlo, renewing the partnership started in 2017.
This new collection, part of Uniqlo LifeWear label, is inspired by the autumn atmospheres of England countryside, to which Anderson has added a storytelling icon – the superBritish bunny Peter Rabbit, born from the hands of the illustrator and children’s writer Helen Beatrix Potter.
The lineup consists both of a series of a warm accessories in wool, fleece and cashmere, such as scarfs and hats, and clothing, such as sweatshirts, t-shirts, knitwear, outerwear and pants with tartan or check patterns, divided into twelve women’s items, ten men’s items and two unisex items.
To give life to the collection and to characters of “The world of Peter Rabbit”, a story that celebrate Peter Rabbit’s 120th anniversary next year, a digital pop-up has been create, accessible by scanning a QR code.
