Lanvin and the Dark Knight
Bruno Sialelli, Lanvin’s creative director, continues to add to the stylistic identity of Jeanne Lanvin new inspirations from comics and kids publishing. During the last Parisian fashion week, Lanvin catwalk paid a tribute to the graphic aesthetics of Batman and Catwoman comics.
In a capsule collection which includes shirts, mini tops, blazers, dresses in sparkling fabrics, the iconic DC Comics graphics add a pop twist to luxury, where the Batmobile gives its shapes to a bag and the bat man inspires a pair of Curb sneakers, enriched with an oversized padded tongue featuring his mask.
While the menswear collection blends streetwear style and glamor, the womenswear collection maintains the unmistakable playful and sensual character, typical of Catwoman.
The collection, created under a license agreement with Warner Bros. DC Comics, will be available next spring 2022.
