Mattel and Minecraft present a new product line
Mattel and Minecraft have announced a partnership to launch a series of new characters and an immersive gaming experience with a downloadable map full of unique mini-games, available for free download on the Minecraft Marketplace.
The launch of Camp Enderwood coincides with Mattel’s launch of an ad-hoc Creator Series toy line filled with DL map characters, accessories and stories.
In both the physical and digital worlds, Minecraft fans can explore Camp Enderwood with new characters and fan favourites including Top Athlete, Camp Rockstar, Glamper. Half of the Camp Enderwood characters will be released as toys this spring, while the others will debut this summer.
“In partnership with Minecraft, we are excited to create new connections between the physical and digital worlds. Camp Enderwood is where those scary camp stories are real and we can’t wait to share them with Minecraft fans,” said PJ Lewis, Global Head of Action Figures at Mattel.
The Camp Enderwood play experience celebrates players’ self-expression in the context of Minecraft’s signature aspirational activities.
“We are proud to partner with Mattel to bring Camp Enderwood to life. Minecraft is focused on bringing thoughtful experiences to our community through fun and engaging activities in new and exciting ways,” said Federico San Martin, director of consumer products for Minecraft.
