Olympics 2024, The GoGoPig animated series returns

The hilarious Made in Italy series of the famous sports pig comes back for the Olympic Games.

A hilarious small Pig, who turns out to be a great athlete, is the protagonist of The GoGoPig, the Italian animated series that has just made its comeback, in a restyled version, on the occasion of the Summer Olympics in Paris.

The GoGoPig, produced by Maga Animation Studio of Monza, follows the adventures of a funny piglet led by an unscrupulous coach, the eccentric green cat Mr. Cat. The series is therefore completely focused on sport and tells each discipline in a funny but also didactic way. The target audience is 6-10 years old, but the subject matter, the likability of the characters and the irony of the narrative have immediately attracted all age groups.

“In 2024,” explains Maga’s founder, Massimo Carrier Ragazzi, “we decided to undertake a major operation to renew all the episodes, bringing them into high definition. Thanks to the distribution partnership between Maga and Lucia Vismara’s Vismanimation, the series in its new guise can be seen in Italy (on TIMvision) and is also growing abroad, We hope that the public will appreciate this version as much as we loved creating it.”

The GoGoPig was created by Massimo Carrier Ragazzi and written by Giulio Braga. The voice of Mr. Cat in the original Italian version is by the famous voice actor Gianluca Iacono, also known for voicing Vegeta in Dragon Ball.

After its debut on Nickelodeon, the series has received numerous awards and selections at various international festivals over the years.

The realisation of the series was handled by the team of Maga Animation Studio, for almost 30 years one of the reference points for animation in Europe and Italy. Maga Animation Studio is an excellence in supporting communication agencies, television channels and video game producers, exploiting the production experience consolidated over the years with the biggest international players.
